After working with a team to launch a new website that offers online courses, this graphic is awesome and provides great food for thought. Thanks for sharing
Mia, it seems as if the top section of your infographic really emphasizes student agency / control / ownership (which I love). But then the bottom two sections seem to lean more toward teacher- or system- or curriculum-directed, not student-directed?
Mia, I LOVE your blog! I stumbled onto your blog on Pinterest when I saw the Bloom’s Taxonomy poster which is so visual! I totally agree with your philosophy style of teaching. I went from teaching first grade for 22 years to college two years ago. I teach mainly at night and find the lecture format a yawner especially for students who have been working all day and come to night classes. They need interaction and visual stimulation. Keep up the good work, your posts are so refreshing and motivating!!

Thx! You, too. It’s a lot of fun to get out of the lecture box. Isn’t it?
